Wow! My first flight! I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited when I got the call I wanted to squeal and jump for joy. I just couldn’t contain my excitement. Finally, all my hard work and perseverance was paying off. I was more than ready to start soaring, but there was still so much more I knew I had to do to prepare for my flight. I was ready for this moment.

Most of us, in our lifetime, have been called or heard the term “They are green.” which is generally meant to describe someone that is new to an industry, meaning they have little or no experience in the industry in which they are pursuing a career. It should NOT, however, be meant to suggest that the individual can not succeed or even be better at performing the roles and responsibilities of the position in which they pursue over someone who has been in the industry for years

Over the years my SkyAngels and I have been to some pretty amazing locations, done incredible things and seen parts of the world that others may never get to experience. That is the thrill of the career as a Corporate Cabin Attendant.

Kara and I first sat down at a little coffee shop in Santa Monica six years ago to talk about SkyAngels and her joining the team - she is someone you will instantly adore. Her smile, laughter, and love for life is contagious and I couldn't wait to have her become a part of the SkyAngels' family. Sadly, Kara wasn't ready then and instead followed in her mother's footsteps and became a Commercial Flight Attendant.

For me, being a Certified SkyAngel (Corporate Cabin Attendant) is like being a kid at a candy shop. I love meeting new people so much and the diverse range of people I get to serve is so exciting for me that it never feels like work. I’m such an extrovert that serving and caring for my guests gives me a natural high (not unlike a kid in a candy shop).

Too often, it’s easy to forget how lucky we are as flight crew in the exclusive and coveted world of Private Aviation – we have been spoiled, so out of the corporate grind that we sometimes forget that even though our schedule is not our own, delegated by those we fly around the world, we still have so much freedom to pursue and do the things we love while we are waiting for our guests to arrive or additional details about the flight or about our guests or confirmation of a flight or departure times, or…the lists goes on. But, somehow we always seem to be hurrying and most importantly, waiting.

SkyAngels SKYcrew are hand selected and must complete a rigorous vetting process to ensure that only quality crew soar as SKYcrew.
